June’s day job

Because the whole starving artist thing does not appeal to June, she runs her own copywriting and fundraising consultancy called June’s Fundraising Letter. She writes fundraising appeals and other copy for both print and digital audiences to improve charities’ communications with their supporters. Her advice on fundraising and marketing strategy has increased revenue for many of her clients. June now manages a team of copywriters to meet demand for her services. She also conducts tailored copywriting and fundraising training for selected clients.

By her calculations, June writes around 150,000 words a year for different charities, helping them to raise millions of dollars for causes covering international aid, social welfare and justice, health and conservation.
