I’m a self-confessed lover of space images and heavenly bodies. I’ve stayed out late to take pictures of blood moons before, pointing my camera up at the sky.
After I became a mother, my photography hobby went by the wayside but I was still excited to hear about the chance to see 8 planets in 1 night – right in my own hometown. The Astronomical Society of Victoria is hosting a public viewing in St Kilda. It will take place on the St Kilda foreshore, near the Marina, oppositte Blessington Street, starting from 7:30pm on Friday 12th October.
However, for those who’d like to take a crack at picking out all 8 planets without coming to a public viewing, the October 2018 guide to the bright planets may help.
